I've heard stories of guys peeing off their tree stand and then a few minutes later a buck shows up. Personally I'll pee on a scrape or make my own. The only time I do anything different is if I'm hunting in a blind and then I pee in a bottle.

The sound of the pee hitting the leafs and ground also help.
Take the warning labels off. Darwin will solve the problem.

Has too much time on their hands
Remember back when we were told that we needed to take water-tight bottles to our stands to pee into? I long ago stopped fretting about peeing at my hunting spots.
