Default Scorpyd Aculeus 460 most underrated crossbow

Just last week I managed to take a buck at 70 yards quartering towards me, even at that distance it went clean through the shoulder and passed through. Double lungs/liver, he went 30-40 yards and was dead before he hit the ground. Now as a disclaimer, I have successfully shot deer quartering towards me (never completely facing me of course) and I have successfully shot through deer shoulder with this crossbows, all clean pass-throughs. I was also comfortable with shooting at this range as there were no twigs, and no wind. I've also taken turkey at 65 yards before with this crossbow, a considerably smaller target. I can confidently say I've never missed/wounded an animal.

70 yards, I don't care what bow your shooting not a shot bowhunters should be taking.

70 yards with a 460fps crossbow is equivalent to a 30 yard shot with a 335fps crossbow, which is considered a common shot to take. The scorpyd is the third quietest crossbow on the market, coupled with the distance the deer don't even react to the sound at all. I know this because I've shot deer behind me at 30 yards only for the deer infront of me on the other side to not react whatsoever.

Nice buck! The Aculeus is a fantastic bow. Not many own Scorpyd bows in Canada but they are catching on.
I shot a doe with my Scorpyd Deathstalker through both shoulders and it was down in sight. My poor old Excalibur micro is feeling neglected! Lol

The flight times in your example are comparable at 50 yards (335 fps) and 70 yards (460 fps), not 30 and 70, assuming the bolt maintains the same speed over the span, which it doesn't.

That's a beauty. Surprised people don't use the scorpyds as often. I find it even more effective than any shotgun for turkey as well.

For Turkey I actually us my Micro. The Magnus bullheads fly better with the slower bow.

Its too far and unethical! This shot will go wrong for you if you keep on taking it. You got lucky. Half the challenge in bowhunting is getting close. Im sure our seasons will change soon due to these overpowered bows. Not sure why you post this. Im sure many disagree with a quartering towards you 70yrd shot with any bow! Jmho

More effective than a shotgun? Arrows can deflect pretty easy. How long have you been hunting?
