Would be definitely reloading 30-06

I have a whack of 30-06 once fired brass that I was going to send to my buddy in MB, but he's stopped shooting (medical). So if you want it, it's yours.

The Hornady site is a good place to look. I mostly use Varget powder for all my rifle calibers. [less confusing]. Hornady has a page where you can develop a load for what ever Hornady powder you want.

You are thinking Hodgdon, Hornady is the bullet manufacturer, they have a book but most of their data you need to buy the book.

I've had good luck with H4350 in the 30-06 and other calibres. I don't know if it is suitable for the 22-250, but I would be surprised it it wasn't.
I don''t have experience loading for handguns, but I am pretty sure you will be looking at completely different powders than what you are using for rifles.

50-70gr in the 22-250 for H4350, cannot do reduced loads but that is what I worked up for a 30-06, accurate as heck in a 30-06 and is the go to powder for 30-06 for a lot of people.

I'll definitely take it if your not using it, I'm thinking of going to check out the conrwall handgun club range 300 for me and my wife for the year and it's only a 15 minute drive from our place. Also being off every friday I can put her on the bus and go shoot the day away lol.
I haven't been to the range enough to keep an eye out for brass but when I do I will definitely pick up whatever is around anything specific anyone wants or just grab it all and eventually someone may need it?

H4895 is a general powder, this is used in many cartridges and is the only one that has a defined reduced load, most powders it is not safe to go below the minimum loads but H4895 has a rule that Hodgdon has a write up on for reduced loads, if you want to consider a lighter recoiling load for the 30-06.

H4895 may not be the fastest or most accurate for your gun but it is considered one of the universal powders, it can be used for a lot of cartridges.

Check out the link greatwhite has and look up that powder. The nice thing too, anyone who sells powder will be able to get this, as it is so popular.

What it means is that if there is a load using H4895 you can safely use 60% of the maximum load as a reduced load. Most powders it is not safe to use below the starting load, which is due to a few things, mainly the idea of flash over, which is when the powder burns from the bullet side rather than the powder side due to having too little volume of powder in the case. H4895 has been tested as a safe powder for reduced loads.

One big reason for this is recoil sensitive shooters, you can load up a reduced load with a 150gr bullet in a 30-06 to have a much milder recoil, rather than find another gun for them to use, may be something you want to do in that case.

Cornwall is only 15min from you? Look into Grenville Fish and game club too, that is the range we go to, they have a waiting list now but if you put on the list you will get in next year. It is much further but running around $125 for the family a year.

There range is only 15 minutes from my place, I live in moose creek and I'm about 35-45 from 401 at cornwall but there range is further up the 138hwy and I drive by it going to cornwall it's very close. But the range you recommended is only 1hr away from us so that's no different then going to cabelas to window shop lol. Looking at the website looks like a good place is 100 yards the longest range they have there?
