February comes to a close and winter arrives
I woke up to 25 cm of snow on my deck, with even more in my driveway. The snow slowed down a bit by 9:00 so I decided to blow out the driveway before more snow fell or blew in. All done my driveway and two of the neighbour’s by noon. The wind really picked up then and the snow and high winds continue. When I walked down the driveway, the bottom 100 meters was completely filled in again.
Much more snow and wind in the forecast for tomorrow!
How many more days until Turkey season??
Enjoy!

Winter just arrived? Lucky. Although mild the snow here has been plentiful. Measured 16" of fresh stuff this snowfall.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Some people were shoveling roofs around here before todays storm. Yes nasty winds.

Whereabouts in Texas are you? I'm near Marshall till Mondy then heading home. I'm hoping my driveway is getting done.

Despite snow early in November, this winter there is much less snow than usual in my area. We get snow and then it warms up and a lot of it melts. Last weekend we were able to rabbit hunt without snow shoes. No shortage of snow but still less than most years.

I was in Midland for eight hours, weatherford for two hours. Off to Hot springs AR for eight, undisclosed location in MO for two hours, and now I am sitting in Indianapolis. I'll be in Toronto by 3 am tomorrow.
I saw you post you were in TX earlier in the week, but I was playing between Las Cruces, NM and Douglas AZ.

I'm running out of room to put the stuff here. Bunch of guys out with their motorised toboggans playing around in here.

-16 and calm this morning and it’s not snowing! Yesterday afternoon I blew my driveway and there was an average of 40 cm of snow. A two day total of 65 cm with another 5 cm since I blew snow yesterday. Total 70 cm. No shortage of snow for snow shoeing now!
