Nope we won't be. From a couple of of the latest they are investigating 45 people who where in contact. Its covered more than half the world already.
Only one way to contain it and it will never happen. The only way out now is to ban any traveling in or out of Canada. If that doesn't happen we cant contain this world problem.

Too late, the barn doors were left open, the horses are long gone. I can't believe they are letting people from known hotspots back into the country. They spent many hours in the aluminum tube(plane) in very close proximity to others. Who knows, maybe the stewards/dess will catch it and infect more going the other way.

Canada is not going to shut down a cash cow like air travel over the possibility of losing 3% of the population especially given that most of that 3% will be on Canada pension or already a heavy draw on the health care system. It's all about the bottom dollar.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

I can see it now.
It ok to loose 3 percent of the population because of a flu but ban the guns because we loose 0.00001 percent by guns [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Knew you would blame our present government somehow, for a global dilemma. My god man give it a rest, at least in this thread.

Well let's see....
1) Claims it will be contained... obvious lie
2) No Checking at the airport ... even though most other countries are.
3) No quarantine of those from obvious hot spots....
Admitted their what to do page is OK... but essentially the same as for any virus...

"At this time, it makes sense to fill your cupboards with non-perishable food items, so that you do not need to go shopping if you become sick."
Now the people that were getting of the plane and my doctor today both thought someone should be checking people, and they weren't .... explain what they are doing .... they aren't to blame for the virus... just the handling of an international health issue but as usual I see what is either incompetence or sabotage ... so your confidence in this gov't doing something right is based on....hey if they can change the weather with it .. maybe a new tax... ????
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-heal...infection.html
Seems we are up to 30 confirmed now....
