Gun ban talks back after a sad weekend in NS

Police in Canada have updated the death toll of the country’s worst mass shooting to 23, as more victims from the gun rampage in Nova Scotia were publicly identified.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) had previously warned the death toll would increase as investigators combed through several homes intentionally set ablaze by the gunman in a 12-hour rampage that started late on Saturday in the town of Portapique. On Tuesday, 16 separate crime scenes were being examined across the province.

I have noticed that they are not mentioning if he had a PAL and what type of firearm.

Based on the fact they have said nothing I am guessing he did not have a PAL and obtained a gun illegally.
If he had PAL they would have said so right away.

I think any politician who gets up on a soap box now about gun control is cutting his own throat. It'll be seen, even by antis, nothing more than politicking on the backs of 23 victims who haven't even been buried yet. A few weeks down the road though I expect the libs will start up about gun control again.

No surprise.

The accused obtained, and essentially recreated two police cruisers. He also obtained, or was able to recreate a Police uniform which was close enough to pass some scrutiny. This has been glossed over.

Very few details coming out of NS right now.

Interestingly enough, the alleged shooter is dead. So keeping investigation, and details closed in the effort to successfully prosecute is not the motivator.

However, the accused apparently was looking for his estranged ex-partner. Circumstances, which if merited it, would have resulted in a temporary seizure of any legal firearms he possessed.

NS is woefully understaffed by the RCMP outside of the main population centers.

I am not normally a conspiracy theorist, but the conduct of the RCMP throughout this seems an awful lot like damage control.

This was done by a deranged man, who it was already known by local Police that he had a car done up exactly as a Police. He also had an Authentic Police Uniform which I believe is also not allowed. No amount of laws would have stopped him. I suspect we will find that he did not have a PAL and the firearm was illegal. The fact Trudeau jumps on this and pretty much blames gun owners shows how low Liberals really are.

Prime Minister Trudeau was asked questions by the Media about gun control in his daily briefing, he did not bring up the matter,we have a free press in this country who are allowed to ask questions.The fact that some of you guys posting right now are trying play politics with this tragedy is pretty low, as you put it.
