My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
It's a great pity that so many of the firearms community in this country couldn't learn a little more of this before taking to social media,
"Camo" is perfectly acceptable as a favorite colour.

I can only speak for myself and as a hunter I do not feel attacked in any manner by them banning this gun.I can only guess that a majority on here might feel the same way, sure its a handy varmint rifle but not a gun I have read that is used by a lot of hunters. The ban on it I suppose is to try a ensure some citizens of an added sense of security,if they were going to ban it I would have thought right after the Ecole shooting might have been better timing. Because I respect the democratic process even although I do not agree at times (long gun registry scrapping)
I still obey the law's which reflect the wishes of my fellow Canadians.

Let’s apply objective logic here without emotion. The appearance of a gun shouldn’t be grounds to ban said gun. But by exactly the same weight then, the notion that a gun is simply “fun to shoot” should never be sole grounds for its legality.

I don't feel particularly "attacked" by today's announcement. The firearms I use for hunting launch the requisite projectile(s) and are those that give me the greatest opportunity to ethically harvest a game animal. There's nothing on today's list that can't be replaced with an equally suitable if not better rifle and if you need rapid fire and detachable magazines you should spend more time at the range and less time at the keyboard.
The only surprise today was that the SKS wasn't on the list.

Sowhen somebody gos and kills a bunch of people with the same gun you use to hunt with and they decide to ban it, just like the Mini-14 was used in a crime, would you then feel attacked? This gun ban is not just an attack on sport shooters, weekend warriors. It's an attack on gun ownership across the country. If you can't recognize this for what it is, when they decide to ban your rifle because it was used in a crime, there will be people just like you who wont feel attacked and wont care about you and your gun being taken away. They will tell you the same thing your tellings us..

It will eventually come down to banning all semi automatic weapons. In the right hands they all can be converted into fully automatic weapons just by filing down the sear. And it wouldn't take much to adapt a selective switch to go from semi automatic to fully automatic. When this happens all semi's will be banned.. This is just a start boys...

How do I get the twenty minutes back that I spent going through 47 pages of bickering. I have an idea that will save many lives in Canada, ban cigarettes and alcohol. I bet that will account for at least 10,000 lives. I'm too lazy to find the stats.
