As was the Sharps, the 1886, the Kentucky rifle, the musket, blunder bust. With the loose definition they use, anything can be claimed to be an assault weapon based on looks or function.

Emotionally unstable is a fitting description for people who feel the need to keep military-style, semi-automatic rifles because Stalin, Lenin and Mao might "happen again." They are the reason people mistrust gun owners.

My life is hardly miserable for many reasons including that none of my firearms are on the banned list. And it might come as a surprise to you and your fellow travellers that it is quite possible to be a gun owner and a conservative without sounding like a deranged alt.right mouth breather.
