It's about the reason and method they do it.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... Bingo. There is a reason that this book is not standard reading and they don't teach proper history in school. An educated population is difficult to rule.

Badenoch the people you are talking about are never going to support gun owners they are just virtue signalers who change their mind as soon as the winds shift. Chasing their support is a waste of time because they will bail the instant things get a little tough and they need to form a proper argument to support their ideas. They are from the "If it saves one life" crowd, a simple argument used by simple people for a wide range of topics.
All your posts tell me you are the person we should be wary of, the type who would sell us all out to save his own and then wonder why no one was there to help when they came for him.

The PAL and RPAL guys are all in this together. Like I said before if the PAL guys want to keep their guns later they need to fight for the RPAL guys now.

    ^^^ well said.
the next wave of Tru-dough’s bans will likely take away firearms that many use every year duck or deer or moose hunting. I have no doubt whatsoever that the crooked little prince will move to an Australian type model. Trudough wants to give powers to municipalities that aren’t in the Charter. If the Supreme Court does the kind of virtue signalling they have shown recently then hunting and firearms ownership will disappear in our lifetime.

I will apologize if my grammar has offended anybody to conserve bandwith.

I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

So for all the effort some gun owners make to reach out to non-gun owners and build acceptance for our sport in the larger community all it takes is a few slobbering fools ranting about "tyranny and dictators" to undo much of our good work.
You certainly shouldn't be looking at your PM for good deeds, he's selling us and the country out. As for "our support and our good work" you're not supporting anything, on the contrary you oppose every single comment and member in this thread. Responsible gun owners need genuine support not back stabbers like you insulting people that have a different opinion or point of view than you do. You claim the way to deal with such issues is to take a rational approach yet all you do is insult people and make derogatory remarks typical of a bigot. I have a few choice words for you too but i don't want to lower myself to your level on a public forum so i had them special delivered just for you. Oh and don't bother wasting your time and energy with PM because I will not open them.

Hopefully , he will keep the PM to himself and not bring it out into the forum, looking for sympathy from others, WHICH HE WILL NOT GET!

If you don't pursue the support of non-gun owners and stop acting like paranoid losers there is no hope of changing any minds.

The UK, Australia and New Zealand prove that shooting sports can survive the banning of assault rifles. Canada will prove it too.

Unlike certain puss(y) boys on this forum I have no need to PM. If I feel the need to say it I will say it openly for all to see.

Your idea of shooting sports surviving and mine are worlds apart.

Many feared the liberals would do a gun grab once they got in power and it happened, in a rather undemocratic way no less. When what you fear comes to fruition is it still called being paranoid?

You would have us on our knees in front of the liberals begging to keep our guns like Oliver Twist asking for more porridge. I am guessing that my idea of freedom and yours are worlds apart as well.

    Badenoch

Please lay out this enlightened argument that we can use to sway the public. Is the "guns don't kill people, people kill people?" How about "An AR15 has never been used in a crime in Canada?". Should we all dress in tweed and go on driven hunts? I am pretty sure all the arguments have made the rounds. With the media being bought off, facts don't matter anymore.

We have seen lots of talk from up on high but no real plan or answers. Please enlighten us.

Funny, you sure don't practice what you preach.

Any semi intelligent points you've made in this or other threads are pretty quickly erased by posts like that second one.

    Slobbering fools indeed.
