Fire Restrictions lifted
"At 12:01 a.m. on May 16, 2020, Ontario is lifting the Restricted Fire Zone (RFZ) designation that was put in place last month across Ontario's fire region. "

I'm very surprised they did this here in Muskoka. It is super dry

It was an Ontario wide, well Ontario controlled fire region wide ban. Local bans can still occur.
We had almost an inch of rain 2 days ago, burned last night and if you were kneeling on the grass you would have been soaked, not a problem out this way.

No problem around here either. Lots of snow in the bush.

Yes. Should have been more clear. I am surprised the Muskoka fire chiefs did not immediately apply one here.
We had a small fire last night and it was easy to see how fast it would get out of control. Cooked our smores on basically the kindling and then blasted it with those hose after.
