2 litre pop bottle or 4 litre water, the top 20% cut off and reinserted upside down in the bottom section. Add your favorite liquid, juice, pop or such and they will swarm in. Take the screw top off before using.

Has too much time on their hands
I've been using the fake nests from the dollar store hang them out around the house or cabin and they have worked great at keeping them from building any nest close by

I hang them from the soffits under the overhang of the roof so the rain doesn't hit them as much, above a door or where ever I dont want those demons. We were watching them a few weeks ago swoop in by the nest and immediately fly off, a week before they were going in and out of anywhere they could find a spot in the same area. With the fake nest they just seem to see it and leave on their merry way. So far no more nests since using them.

I have a shed and any time i step in ,I first a look hard and wide, to see if there is a"threat"before i enter.They claimed my shed as their domain.My slippers took care of some,but ....

Have only used the fake nests for the last 3 years, and we haven't had any wasp nests in that time.
Before this, we could find a big nest (underground or hanging) just about every year. I think they work pretty well.

Let's see.... in the rafters by the garage, in the raccoon baffles on both the bird feeders and behind the drivers side mirror of the suv.... yep, alot around already...

Bald Faced Hornets are extremely aggressive ! They will swarm on you if you are not careful. The "fake" nest work because they claim territory and other hornets won't trespass in that area. Unfortunately with ground hornets you find them the hard way by walking on top of their nest. I have also dealt with mud dabbers/ Hornets. I try not to use chemicals but sometimes it's the only way to solve the problem. The foam is excellent but I keep a can of general area spray in my other holster. Attacking at night is a good tactic or during a downpour and always plan your escape route in advance plus PPE yourself best you can.

Several years ago I had a huge nest behind the bricks on the house, I bought a milk jug and when it was empty I cut a hole in it and nailed/taped it to the wall so they could only fly out into the jug. The jug had a couple inches of water and a bit of oil on top.... I had to empty it twice because it was too full but eventually I wiped out the nest. Seal it and they will come out elsewhere, spray it... they might have it too far away or you will only be able to hit a small part. Sort of like this idea BUT no attractant, I just nailed/tied/taped it over the hole (late at night)
