They aren’t shutting down. The company is re structuring only.

Re-structuring usually means they are looking for new owners...and in this economy that will not be easy. Especially if they are not 'giving it away'.

But who knows, maybe John Morris (BPS Direct, LLC) will see it as an opportunity to control more of the Outdoor Equipment market in Canada. He walked away from opening a store in Quebec once before due to the additional costs associated with the 'bilingual' requirements.

The ban won't put a dent into Sail. They don't sell restricted or assault weapons.

I hope they survive particularly their outlet in Cambridge. It's the closest outdoor store to home and has a good selection of ammo and accessories.

Seems to be a lot of news stories of stores closing recently (women’s apparel, home furnishing). If a store isn’t set up with a strong online presence along with a smooth ordering and delivery service , more stores will close.
