No, maybe when I was a kid we used to fool around with them but for actually hunting, the answer is a no.... Can't imagine too many going that route.

How can you feel right about wounding an animal with a slingshot. A perfect shot likely can do it but I bet 90% of animals hit escape with internal injuries.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.
Whether firearm, bow or slingshot its the operator's responsibility to ensure they are as proficient as possible.

exactly....I know as a kid, when we were on top of our game, we rarely 'wounded' anything....so 90% is way off the mark. Almost all were instantly killed or mortally wounded (death by shovel was soon after).

...is it even legal to hunt with a slingshot? Dont recall seeing that in the regs anywhere....
