The researchers studied 10 eyes from people who did not die of COVID-19 and discovered that ACE2 was present in all of them, including the cornea, inside the eyelids and in the white of the eye, according to the news outlet.

“Infection of ocular surface cells could lead to the eye as being an important carrier, with ocular virus shedding constituting a significant mechanism for infection of other individuals,” the scientists said.

“Our study therefore highlights the importance of safety practices in the general community to prevent infection and spread (hygiene, face masks) and need for extra caution among ophthalmologists.”


Reality is masks are more to protect those around you from you since the virus can be very transmittable and yet have no symptoms at all... seeing people out walking or in their cars wearing them is useless except for hay fever or dust allergies. In Japan people often wear them so they don't spread the cold etc. to others and it wouldn't be bad here but it isn't about protecting yourself wearing a mask unless it is a N95+

No links are not needed. All you needed to do was say in your first post that they did not want to wear the masks, and they spit on people.

Perhaps they need a better comparison. Wearing a mask is like muzzle control. In most cases you don't do it to protect yourself but the people around you.

Meanwhile the list of Ontario communities and regions requiring masks in indoor public places continues to expand. So strap 'em on or stay outside.

Wearing masks reminds me of the gun ban in the name of public safety. Masks are just a false sense of security like banning guns. Masks will not save you but believe what your leader tells you because he never lies...lmao

There is no face mask mandate that can stop Covid-19. Without herd immunity we will not even be able to manage it.

If you want to remain stalled in lockdown or Phase 2 that is probably correct. However, wearing masks will help if you want to open the economy more while avoiding a major outbreak of new cases as is happening in parts of the U.S.
