Has too much time on their hands
SARS-MRS2 event was 15 yrs ago or so - we still 56,000,000 million infections to catch up to world wide..... to reach COVIS numbers..... Which, schools, business, were locked down then? - what style of mask were you choosing?
I am mask free, shop where I want, social distance, dont touch face and wash hands (4 months now). I have been to all three levels of government in Ottawa, declare my exemption and carry on.
Most of the negative encounters (and they are not bad), are the poor kids at doors, when I encounter one those kids and declare my exemption - if they look confused, I dont get mad and ask them to get the manager on duty. I then educate the Manager in front the employee and berate him to do better at training his staff - it is not the kids fault that Management is failing them, and not giving them proper training.
If any of you haters on non-mask wearers (I cant even believe I have to say that), dont educate yourself on exemptions, then you only make yourself look..well "stupid" to exemptions, with your comments. If you actually read the exemptions and references the Acts, Ontario Disabilities Act, Privacy act..then maybe you might learn. Also, within (at least Ottawa, Public Health order and now By-Law), contains the wording you cannot be refused, nor challenged to revel, it is an education enforcement order, not even a Judge could compel you in court on by-law infraction to revel reasons why.
So let the compliant sheep OBEY, and those of us who dont need to wear one will carry on.
I live and work in Ottawa, and have had zero issues with the general public, everyone is respectful and a few sideways looks, but that is extent of problems I have encountered. People have been good.

Hey, as long as no one infects me, my family, friends or loved ones, we're all good.

What will increase the infection risk to you, your family, friends or loved ones is goofs who don't maintain a 2 meter distance or come up with phony excuses not to wear a mask where they are mandatory. They don't care about your health and should be treated accordingly.

Well, we had a scare in our household. I showed some symptoms so all 3 of us went down and got tested. It’s not a pleasant thing but it’s quick and we had our results in 24 hours. We all tested negative. If any of you are hesitating, don’t. The peace of mind is worth the minimal discomfort. We wear masks, can’t hurt.
I’m suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog who doesn't like a person.

Why should I be even wanting an exemption? As the science regarding the virus progresses everyone is now promoting the use of a mask. I have not seen one comment from what I would consider a learned individual in recent weeks that wearing a mask is detrimental to the overall containing of the virus.

How about just using history as an example? Masks didn't work in 1918 either. Most "learned individuals" will tell you that the science is inconclusive on masks.
Regardless, it's going to be mandatory here in Peterborough as of August 1st. I suppose the bright side is I now have an even better reason not to go shopping.
