Covid 2nd Wave....fact or fiction

Hopefully the UI system will get a grip on the $2K a month freebee the Village idiot handing out with no scrutiny. Spoke with more than a few employeeres who can't entice kids to come back to work when they can sit in Mom and Dads basement and collect money for free.

Heard a case on the radio of a couples 'dependant' kids stayed home all summer pulling in the CERB while their family income of $135K a year was not affected. Wonder if the Tax man will at least catch this abuse of the system.

I think a lot of the freeloaders will have a big surprise coming from Rev Canada....

I saw one of those Dr.s on the news last night....he/they are right. I like their view in regard to the kids being adversely affected by restrictions:

" Global data clearly now show that children have an extremely low risk of serious illness, but they are disproportionately harmed by precautions. Children’s rights to societal care, mental health support and education must be protected. This cannot be achieved with ongoing or rotating lockdown."

They need to stop the fear mongering and the doom & gloom forecasts. Learn to live (like most European countries have) with the virus that isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon.

Remember the masks that most are wearing are not to protect the user. Unless you are using n95 mask or better and have proper training on mask handling.

The protocols for covid 19 are the same for the influenza virus if you can catch one you can catch the other .


Too bad about your work it's been the same case everywhere. I think the government mucked up hard with the payments to stay home . Before you would stand in line all day for some food vouchers and loaf of bread. Now you call a number and have a few grand in about 30 seconds time.

It has fueled another crisis on its own between people not wanting to work and the scum that now has a free drug supply fully funded by our government. Sad .

I sure hope so because there are enough of them out there that could or should be working but it's easier to suck on the government teat.

Well a little research will show you that, Spain, Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, ALL have more stringent lockdown measures in place to prevent covid transmission, than Ontario. Better be careful what you wish for.

Family income? You can only income split with your significant other , not your children. So are you trying to say that the parents money is their children's money? Better not tell the tax man that. A lot of kids just got very rich if that is your thought.

I have no doubt that we will experience a secondary wave or maybe even a tertiary wave. Spanish Flu, H1N1, & SARS also experienced the same models similar to COVID. BUT the key difference is what will be the magnitude and duration be of these waves. Will it cause more people to be admitted into ICU or will it be more of a statistical anomaly in case numbers - only time will tell.

As we all know statistics can be spun to make a mountain out of a mole hill when it benefits the story teller. I am not a conspiracy theorists.......but......with an upcoming election this is probably the best thing that can happed for Justin. Gives him more time to throw more $$ away and makes it look like he is making a difference.
