Ontario's network of community, commercial and hospital labs processed more than 38,000 novel coronavirus test samples on Sunday, the ministry of health reported. The goal is to do 50,000 tests a day, but there's a massive backlog in getting results.
"The province is looking for alternative ways of expanding capacity," Gould said. "Supply in Ontario for COVID testing has increased from 12,000 tests a day in mid-March to 45,000 tests in less than six months. That's a huge undertaking. Demand has outstripped supply."
So if you look at the real numbers, take into account the increased testing ... looks like the 2nd wave won't swamp the canoe... if it wasn't for the idiots standing in the canoe and jumping up and down screaming and ranting. If this boat don't float then it is clearly the leaders fault .... but our current leader has avoided accountability on lies, ethics, police interference, SNC, Jody W.R., groping a reporter and now thanks to the NDP supporting them and shutting down the WE investigation that too .....

Man you are REALLY quick to write off O'Toole ... man ... I think this is the problem with Conservative membership! Everyone's an expert, and no one's good enough!

Kind of like the Chinese/Asians have been doing for decades ... I have seen lots of Asians wearing masks prior to COVID. That is in no way meant to be an offence, just pointing out that they have been using masks regularly and as a way of life prior to COVID.

A more serious answer, statistics ... when rate of infection accelerates over a longer period ... you have a new wave. If infection rate is flat (or declining) ... it's not a new wave. Because there's many variables in the numbers reported ... it's inaccurate to base the assumption a new wave has started based on a few days of data, or even a couple of weeks. You likely need to compare numbers on a monthly basis to iron out most discrepancies ... and even then ... is August the same as October (flu season)?

MB, or like sitting in the sun without ‘protection ‘ , used to be normal. We listen to the experts about that nowadays. For many demographics, masks are here to stay.

I highly doubt masks are here to stay.

You have lost all credibility with such a far fetched and nonsense comment. Best of luck to you if you truly beleive what you wrote.
For your own sake I hope it was just an exagerration to troll people, as that is also something you are known for.
Have fun in Bombay, Bogota, or Belgorod.

I can see them staying in crowded areas like subways, buses, trains, air port?? That said, not all people will wear them, but like everything else, you'll have a portion of the population that will retain the method.
