I am sometimes amazed how little our Governments have a common sense to use well known and EFFECTIVE systems for deciding about steps impacting everyone.
    Federal and Ontario alike.
    I work in a Machining world.High presion,automotive.

We are MADE by the Big 3(and everyone else who supplies them)to use FMEA as RISK assessments.

    Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.
Critical part of it is the RPN number(Risk Priority Number)
The higher this number, the bigger the risk to make/ship/build in/use bad product.

3 elements of the RPN number ,and the number itself is build like : Severity x Detection x Occurrence.
The lower the number ,the lower the risk. Works like a charm.
Actions taken in any 3 elements decreases the value of the element impacted, thus after multiplication the RPN number itself gets lower.

There is a set RPN number where One can/should/allowed to STOP taking more steps to improve the quality of the product.

    See where i am going?

Someone would just need to actually BOTHER and use common sense/well proven methods perhaps ,to STOP destroying our Country.

If the government published the deaths of all the people who will die of breast cancer (due to cancelled mamograms, screening, etc from March till this summer) and people who had complications after cancelled post-op doctors appointments, etc, etc we would all be in an uproad over this forced shutdown..we need to open our eyes and look at the big picture
(for the record im not saying covid is fake or we shouldnt be careful) but this idea that we need to stop living and shut down is absolutely disgusting.

No wonder JT locked down all the scary guns, a revolt is likely to happen if they keep imposing on people's lives. Even some of the more paranoid people are waking up to this disgusting abuse of power.

Lets face it, its not about health anymore its about power. Good luck getting back all the power this government has given themselves, not just the feds but provincial and municipal governments as well need to take a hike and stay out of peoples lives. Let the health departments make their recommendations and the politicians can stay the F out of it for the most part.

Suicide is WAY up, mental health issues, child and spousal abuse, homelessness, joblessness, addiction and crime, tent cities, rioting vandalism and vigilantes etc. That is the real problem, thats the "second wave". Stop controlling the people and all those issues disappear back to normal levels.

All I can say is if the boat launches get locked up again, bolt cutters might become an essential item in some households, best stock up now!
I agree with the both of you ,it's a shame the backlog of hospital appointments and procedures have not even recovered. Yet they are shutdown again .

If it was up to the health officials we all would of been closed or shutdown long ago. They have been calling for more shutdowns since the beginning of this so called second wave.
This is the way they wanted it many little waves the slow and painful way .

Koke hope your dad's ok [emoji108] with less people in the hospital hopefully he has plenty of care provided for him.

Since the the first shutdown our teen 16 has been to 2 small parties, she has a friend that comes over every week 1 or 2 times for the afternoon ,she also visits her friend. She found a boy friend, good kid he worked during the entire pandemic is now back in school. Has a license, hunts, fishes, got a truck a few weeks ago a good kid .

We let our teen visit his place every few days he visits our place every few days . Our youngest goes to brownies and see her friends.

Thing is kids need to be kids it's hard enough to let them go with more responsibility and live their life . You are only a kid once you only live once . We are in harder times yet we still have to live our lives just in a different way.

We did out part we stayed home for months, we are still doing our part yet we still have to live. Yes I was out for thanks giving no we did not have Easter well we did but just the house we live with. Halloween will likely be cancelled yet we will still probably dress up and walk a town to enjoy all the deckerations the residents put out .

Still haven't been to a Walmart since February kinda miss the place walking around talking to a few people we know and only run into out and about. Checking out the fishing deals . Haven't got any new tackle all year lol. My fishing season starts in a month. Walleye then the ice can't wait . Stick the the more expensive stores to shop hight end store less covid right lol.

Picked up a nice 8 man popup hut for the ice already have plans for a northern ice trip with my dad and middle kid . She will Skipp home school for a day hopefully learn to catch whitties and Lakers lol.

Still gotta live ,still gotta work life must go on with or without covid 19.

Just thought I would share this maybe I will be bashed but whatever lol.

Just saying we still have to live just learn how to live with with it . .

Anyone that can't see the Liberal corruption, lies and waste and coverups ... has their eyes closed.

The death and damage to the economy will not be fully understood until there have been decades past and an honest review and the impact of the spending (and where) looked at in retrospect ... (look at We etc.... not happening while Liberals have any power) .

That is not the only impact. someone I know that has been in Canada for 30 years and grew up in the Cultural revolution in China and has told me some of what it is like said something that really surprised me the other day. "Canada has become a socialist state, maybe it is time to move to the US" .... People with exceptional talent, honesty and integrity that are looking to immigrate to a country ... where do you think they will be looking most seriously right now ....

Australian PM Turnbull said the Canadian leader seemed obsessed with how he looked along with his colourful socks and seemed "flaky".

The most troubling thing is the fear they've instilled in the older generation, the ones who hang on every word of the 6:00 evening news and listen to the daily Covid 'Doom and Gloom' reports just before they go to bed. Yes the Virus is deadly and cautions need to be adhered to if you in that age group.

But to have the Village Idiot sitting there starting at the cameras saying the 2nd wave is much worse than the first wave and the hospitals are going to be overwhelmed is irresponsible and reckless when the facts do not to support that there even is a 2nd wave.

totally hear you and youre correct but thats not how you win an election. They make decisions based on polling numbers not science. They say they make science based decisions and they do, but only when it aligns with their political agenda and they pick the science they want to follow. And science can go both ways so its really subjective politics they play. Cant prove them wrong and cant prove them right either.

Society would be far better off if Health Canada put even a small percentage of the money spend on Coivd toward the opioid crisis...it's killed more people in Canada in the 1st 3 months this year than Covid did...and reports say it's gotten worse since the pandemic hit.

16,364 apparent opioid-related deaths occurred between January 2016 and March 2020.

In 2020, between January and March, 1,018 deaths occurred, of which 96% were accidental (unintentional).
