When your quality of life is s#%t like a terminal illness or other reasons like no longer being able to be physically independent enough to take care of yourself sometimes some people call it a day. Not everybody wants to die in a hospital bed waiting patiently to pass, or and don't want family to watch them wilt away slowly.

My wife's Uncle recently just committed suicide, he was 85 years old and still healthy, but was suffering from depression. He jumped into a river 2 weeks ago.
If you don't have a gun you will find away.

If you are thinking of taking your own life , you need help. Either to do it 'ethically', or to prevent it.
When you say meds that worked wonders is that when the person turns into a zombie [emoji1787]. Life is good they are all chilled without a thought to be had lol.

There is a street drug out there that almost made it to the medical field. I guess it was to inexpensive to make a large enough profit . It will lift your spirits ,alter your mood in a positive way but I guess they would rather see you down and out then happy . Besides what would you do with a bunch of energetic elderly people [emoji16][emoji38] ..

It's in its trials again and will end up back in the pharmaceutical industry soon enough.

Sorry to hear this . It happens far to often I know a few people over the years. Including a teenager such a shame he didn't even get to know what life was.

It happens and sometimes there is nothing you can do. Lost my Nephew several years ago he was under 30.

But if people want to go they will find a way. Those that do want help generally do not do something as drastic.

I would like to know the number of deaths during this period of Covid. I would really like to see a chart of the number of suicides and ow much they went up.

I would also like to see the number of deaths related to operations put on hold. I have a feeling we will see these deaths are higher then Covid.

I've unfortunately lost 4 very close friends, and one Uncle who i looked up to. My circle of current friends now talk openly about things we may have kept to ourselves even a few years back. I believe if someone has made up they're mind....chances are you won't even know they've made the decision.

I ran into an guy I used to work with the other day at the grocery store. We got chatting about actual covid numbers, hospital admissions and basic shutdown of regular medical services. Sure enough he has 3 neighbours that have been waiting for cancer treatments since all these restrictions started for the last 8-9 months. But hey, somehow health units and politicians think that all the scare mongering is more important the the health of so many people requiring medical care.

A gun related suicide topic is nothing but political.

Unless of course your intention was to raise suicide prevention as a whole. But that's not up your alley.

The methodology for taking ones life is the scapegoat that hides the dysfunctions in society.

I had a full right hip replacement on Sept 10th, The original date for surgery was May 8th. I was in and out in 24 hrs, and I have been back to the hospital twice in the last 6 weeks for the regular x-rays after such an operation. A few more protocols and no visitors, otherwise the same as pre covid . Except for the short delay everything went according to plan. I am doing well, thanks. I realize that even a short delay could be fatal for some, but I am just pointing out that most operations are continuing with some delay. I imagine if your condition was fatally time sensitive you would move to the front of the line.
