Deer call
Looking to purchase a new deer call. As there are so many to choose from I was hoping for some recommendations on what brand and style others are using with success. Thanks in advance for any information.

my green doe can broke this morning. just when a had two does i was trying to get to come back because i spooked them. needless to say the sound of a dying animal was not helpful in the least to my cause...

I have a few calls, I have forgotten them hanging in trees so having backups became necessary. For Does I have given up on Cans, basically for the same reason you have, malfunctioning while hunting. I have 2 I like, one I hate. I use a Knight and Hale EZ-DOE Bleat (old model), and a Lohman Gold Series Doe Bleat call, the one I don't like due to the amount of air needed is an old model Mad Doe Heat Bleat. As for buck calls I have an older Mad Growl call, as well as a newer Mad Hyper Growl, I also have a Promos Hands-free Buck and Doe call. I have a Knight and Hale Rattle Bag.

I use the primos snort-weeze grunt tube. I've had it for almost 10 years and have defintely got bucks attention with it.
I bumped a buck one time in the dark walking to my stand, I just seen antlers take off about 30 yards away out into the bean field. To hopefully get him not too spooked I grunted. He grunted back then snort weezed at me. So I did it back to him, 30 seconds later I can make out him walking towards me then he starts pawing the ground, grunting every few seconds. I shut up before I got ran over, was 20min before shooting light so bow still in the case and wind wasn't great so I backed out and went the long way to the stand.
After that I knew snort weeze wasn't just a gimmick.
This is a mature buck grunt tube, I have another one thats more of a young buck grunt but I don't carry it as much.

They seem to do that! On mine you can just blow through hole to make a bleat sound.
