If you can hunt combined corn fields give that a try.
I bet I flushed 20-50 woodcock with my truck driving across a cut corn field the other day.

Sure they weren't snipe? They have a preference for flooded fields. Either way forget the waterfowl and I'll bring the dogs

No I'm not sure, It was in the dark and little birds flushing out so fast I couldnt get a good look.
Field is pretty dry but I didn't think of snipe, I'll take video next time lol

Lots of birds still around put up 6 put was being picky with the shots as I only take birds that are pointed with my young gsp pup. Also a bonus grouse, just north of London.

I moved two today while hunting pheasants up at Conestoga Lake. Neither flew very far after being flushed.
