Sorry but, ' the bible tells me so'. Any theologian will tell you, according to the scripture's, heaven is waiting for ALL men who accept the lord.

And how do you know what any man or woman has truly accepted in their heart?

And why do you classify sin into different categories ... from "oh, it's okay, that's a tiny sin" to "oh, that is a nasty, nasty sin." What do you think God does, you think he turns a blind eye to some sins and not others? That sounds like man's thinking ... not God's. Man trying to make themselves feel better about their itty bitty lies, and anger, and pride, and spite, and jealousy ... it's a joke. We all just want to feel good, we pay very little attention to what God wants.

I do not ,but I assume the deity knows. Matthew ( 12: 31-32 ) So lets say Dahmer really believes and accepts the lord. Heaven for that guy? I don't classify sins into two categories , minor and major, the bible does. Sins against man are acceptable , if you recant and accept the lord. Your in. The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the deity. Go figure.

Mark I agree 100% with all those posts you just wrote,I think for some it takes a life threatening illness affecting themselves where they see the light.I know from my own personal experiences I have no doubt about God's existence and to the non believers I would always advise them to err on the side of caution.

My suggestion is to by-pass man ... look to God directly. No one is stopping you from praying. If you believe in heaven and after life, there has to be a Creator ... doesn't matter if it's a Christian God, Muslim God, or any other God ... I think we pray to the same God, and make our human interpretations of what God looks like and wants, and then it gets messy.

And praying only in a time of crisis is non-sense ... I pray every day to God, thanking Him for all that he has provided to us, but if He is a loving God (which I believe he is) ... he wants to help you ... so there's no issue with asking for his help ... just like you would a friend or family member in a time of need ... only our pride gets in the way of that ... but the most beautiful relationship comes from absence of pride, and pure love for one another ... to help where and when we can. Does that mean He will help all the time ... not necessarily in the way we want sometimes ... you see sometimes we have a situation where a farmer needs rain for his crop, and a vacationer wants nothing but sunshine ... who does God listen to? He will pick the best way, even if it means it doesn't fulfill our simplistic expectations.
    Thanks [emoji106]

I take you are a Christian Catholic?

My wife's grandparents are very religious on that side.

I choose not to judge people who do bad . I will not judge a person by beliefs or what they have done we are all human and we have our own ways in life . Even religious people can commit great acts of evil .

I just do what is right for the better of the people. Keep the good vibes going and not afraid to hand over my last few dollars to someone who needs it more than I. I have been down the dark side of life I know what's it like . I also know the sunny side, as I have seen the sunny ways a long time now. It's hard but it's life and people can change for the greater good.[emoji106][emoji106]

Uhmm, you got a few things wrong there. But I'm glad you agree your lie is as bad as murdering a person (quote you said, "I don't classify sins into two categories ..."). So, that means you are just as bad and underserving as Dahmer.

So, who are you to talk and judge what God does?

I'm not a Catholic. I was raised as a Catholic, but I changed to non-denominational Christian after doing some soul searching and deep research.

You are so right about religious people sinning, THEY DO ALL THE TIME, probably EVERY DAY! They are just people ... period. They do not become God by praying to him, or visiting a church, or confessing, or donating money ... none of that changes their inherent nature to sin. All we can have is a close relationship to God, and everyone fumbles ... so we shouldn't look to mans actions and blame God ... And yes, I know there are some humans at the alter that are big disappointments, pretending to be all holy and above us all ... that is not correct doctrine.

Correct doctrine is we are ALL nothing ... God doesn't need any of us, but he chooses to love us ... and thank God for that. None of us are good enough to elevate ourselves above one another. There's us ants ... and there's God ... only he deserves our praise. Only he will not let us down (perspective has to be long term ... not on a short term issue/challenge).

Free thinking and unfettered of religious interpretations of the natural world. So are you implying that to talk about god and judge him is wrong. Very funny to an atheist. Many religious people believe they know 'the word of god'. Some believe, ( can't say 'think'), they even hear 'him' speak to them.

You can do what you want buddy ... just don't think you're worthy of judging God. Even if you could assume for one second there is a God, do you know how ridiculous it is that you ... a spec, not even a grain of sand in the context of the universe is trying to understand and judge the Creator of the universe ... it is mind boggling how self-centered that thinking is ... lol ... you against the CREATOR of the universe ... yeah, I know I'll side with my God.
