Carbon Tax increases NOT put on hold
Looks like everything is going to cost more; from gas for the car, fuel to heat our houses and businesses and to increases in transportation and manufacturing costs.
And in a time when we're being told to spend our saving to help climb out of a collapsed economy.
The current price on carbon translates to Canadians paying roughly an extra 2.3 cents per litre of gasoline, which is set to rise to an extra 12 cents per litre under the $50 per tonne pricing in 2022.
Government officials speaking on background on Friday said the increase in the carbon tax after 2022 would translate to an increase of roughly 27.6 cents per litre from 2022 costs.
That means Canadians can expect to pay roughly an extra 39.6 cents per litre of gasoline by 2030.
Unbelievable..

In the name of preservation of human kind to lower the effects of climate change, I’m all for it. BUT!!! I’m only for it if other countries are doing their fair share to curb the climate crisis.

We must pay the other countries share. It’s the only way to stop climate change. Chyna has over 100 coal plants. Pay up. Why only 15billion.

Totally agree everyone needs to work together if not it won't work.
And we are not the country to lead the contributions to it. We can help but only to an extent where it doesn't effect everyone in a negative way. . These bills will add up when it will effect pretty much most of the market plus some.

Sooooo, if we start to produce less carbon the tax goes away??? Not a chance. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER TAX, it just gives green-minded people a feel good warmth but does nothing to solve any pollution problems. It is a pocket liner for the government to spend anywhere they want, and some very large pockets they are becoming.

Nothing to do with "carbon" and everything to do with "taxes." The Liberals are just peeing down everyone's legs while telling them "it's raining."

They sold this carbon crap by telling the public the Carbon tax was neutral and you would get it back with your Tax return. And people believed them.
I do my own Tax with NetFile (Turbo Tax) ...when I applied for the Carbon Tax Refund on my return, my running tally increased $30 ...NOT the $307 they said we would receive. I went back, double checked and triple checked....$30 .....more Lies from the Liberal Party of Canada.
