I agree Jake , they might just balance out between what votes they gain and what votes they will lose. I agree with what ford is doing, but I do not own a business. Time will tell.

People who support lockdown say it's not soon enough and doesn't go far enough. Business people and "freedom" types say there shouldn't be a lockdown at all. People in some areas want lockdowns but only if it doesn't affect them.

It's a no-win situation for government but when you have to do hard things and the outcome is that everyone is pissed off with you but for different reasons then you've probably made the right choices.

If voters who supported Ford in the last election are dumb enough to abandon him in the next election because of this they can enjoy living under an NDP or Liberal government.

Yeh pretty much agree with your post, I did not like Doug after he got elected, saw a lot of similarities with a guy down south ,but he started to open up with the media and answer questions for the voters. Overall as a Liberal I could see myself voting for him even although he has done a few things I am very much against.

At least with the Liberals and NDP you know you are going to get screwed.

Agree with him or not, at the end of he day he has abandoned his base.

Just a quick comment on the loan thing.

Now it may just be my experience over the last year, but it seems the "ESSENTIAL" worker label is starter to carry a lot of value. SURE you have a 540 credit rating, but your an essential worker...so your appoved!

Ok maybe a 540, but that essential seems to open doors..

He said it for the same reason many people reading your posts look around and say "Please someone just kill me now!"

It was a sarcastically phrase or comment.
If you have not read the other posts, there have been comments about equipment breaking down and parts being hard to get. Meaning if the alternator on an ambulance or firetruck breaks for example it could be weeks to months before it can be sent on a call.
