    Default Decent day out

Managed to make it out with a buddy today and we made our way as far out of the way as we could given the time. We arrived a bit late but it didn't take long for the lines to start bobbing. Lots of bites but the fish seemed finicky. Ended the day with 3 keepers and 5 or 6 stockers left for another year.

Good weather, 6 inches of ice over a creek outlet and enough snow to get me huffing while dashing to the holes.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Really? Seems to be holding at a foot thickness where there's no current around these parts. Its about to get nasty with slush though.

These ones taste like swimming hunks of butter! There's a number of lakes here i won't fish because they take on a muddy flavor.

You're kind of lacking a bit so far, eh? Usually were seeing iced perch by now. Lol
