I'd take that to court if some Enforcement officer wanted to pick a fight over my interpretation.

The panel it was to be installed in, was for a house, which needed power.

You can see how complicated a definition of 'essential' can be...trickle up and everything hits a point of 'essential.'
I love the SQ-D products - QO breakers are amazing.........and yes I worked for Schneider several years back - LOL

I think they define the store that is selling the goods as essential or non-essential not what you are picking up. If some Bylaw officer questioned you just tell him this panel powers your addition and in that addition is your freezer and fridge - pretty essential to me.

I'll let you know what happens. I ordered yellow spray paint from HD and am picking it up tomorrow. Essential - hell yes! In my spare time I am building a model of a DHC-3 Otter and I need yellow spray paint for the wings and fuselage. If I cannot get yellow paint I would have to paint it Red, Blue, Grey or Green and that would look stupid.......so it is pretty essential to me - LOL.

If you can say to yourself that the trip out is essential then it is, simple.

What I am happy about is the push back against dragging a whole family in to the grocery store when it is not necessary, in some cases it will be but often you do not have to bring your kids with you and spread around germs.

With video conferencing, we can still socialize, and I'd say by an order of magnitude greater contact ... so unless they plan on surveilling all of our phones ... wait, do they do that?

Sad times we are living in -and the saddest part of it is the death of the common sense.

    Indeed.
My daughter lives on her own. And has a condition. “So your not allowed to come see me?”. To which said, I’m not sure...

There are some “exceptions” for people that live alone, but I don’t think they extend to some human company/interaction. Between medical things that limit her mobility, and working from home since April. It’s been a hell of a year on her as is.

Would that not give you the right to visit her?

It excludes individuals that live alone. If she is restricted to to stay at home I would think you would be ok for a visit.

Honestly not sure fish food. What I read indicated they can go out, groups of 5.

But as far as her having a friend/family member over for some company.
Well, like the mother in SW Ontario. It just takes a snitch.

And the fact of the matter is, I personally, other than going to see her periodically to break the monotony. I am avoiding that area like the plague.....

This lock down isn't good for anyone's mental health but especially teenagers or young adults..... Not being able to go out or hang out at that age can't be good for their mental health and is probably really stressful for them too.....

You see JBen-many are still working -Thanx God.It comes with great travel within Ontario.100 km travel to work one way is not unheard of at all.
Can our Government explain what is a difference if a : coworker coming from A place to B place(maybe from high danger zone to low danger zone)and meet 50-100-200 ppl in a week, versus your daughter being at home, all alone-and due of the dread of COVID,no one can visit her ,with piece of mind..............

Face mask ,6 feet and temperature check what is the rule of the day(week-month --or year)SO WHY ? in their all might can not make rules to respect and support the people?

Comes to my mind once when my former boss made some rules-what me and my coworkers did follow .To the T what he asked for! Bunch of others did not. He tolerated this as normal.

So-when this came out in open -i dared to ask him : So,if we do it -we HAVE to do it???and if we do NOT do it,we do not have to do it?

    Kind of like today's rules.

Honestly,JBen,with a family member in that position,I'd take the ticket and my chances in court. I can see some squealing, sniveling POS deliberately being a rat, but,I can't see any LEO writing a ticket under those circumstances and even if some officious jerk did,I doubt a court would convict. Anymore it seems, there's a segment of society that's taking a**holism to an art form.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
