Paying it forward
A few weeks ago we paid for the stuff for the guy behind us at the Tim's in Sutton . Today in Newmarket the guy infront of us paid for our coffee's so we kept it going an paid a little more for the people behind us.
Nice to see that's all.
Cheers

Yes that has happened to me . A few times I got to the window to pay and the person said don`t worry about it, been paid for. I have paid it forward a few coffee's.
But to be honest I don't really care for it as I feel obligated to pay it forward if someone has done it for me. Now I just tell them to pass it on to someone else and I pay for my own.

Awhile ago I let a nice woman in the Tim Horton’s drive thru go ahead of me. When I got to the window I found out she paid for my coffee. It really made my day.

Good gestures seem far and few between nowadays. When I see people letting doors go especially on seniors it really ticks me off, quite often people in pajamas at 3 in the afternoon.

Nice to see that there’s still some people out there thinking of others and not just themselves.

I agree but it is tough now when you’re supposed to stay 6’ away. I’m not sure if they want me to hold the door or to get the hell out of the way

That really burns me too, when I work in Toronto it's like nobody ever holds a door no matter who you are, and the attitude has migrated to my area even pre Covid.

There is a homeless guy that sometimes hangs around the Timmies downtown Burlington......I swear he is the only around one so he sticks out. He is very polite, always smiles and says hello and I have never seen him ask for spare change. Every now and again when I am there picking up my coffee I'll grab a Timmies card with $15 on it and hand it to him on my way out.
My grandfather (a wise old Hamilton beat cop) told me years ago you should never judge a man until you have spend time in his shoes.
