Right now it's a seller market, A friend of mine repaired a 1990 4 wheeler for a guy, 400 bucks in repairs and he sold it for 4000.00.

Just a little dusty from sitting in the shed. I told him after though that $3500 would have been fair for both parties. He bought it thinking he needed one but whenever he went to the bush, he ended up taking a tractor instead. I should have talked him into keeping it, now when I hunt his property I have to trailer mine there.

Instead of recovering it with a tarp, if you could get some old used barn tin would be better.

First of all no security from theft at all and secondly the sun exposure kill's the covers in a few years, your in a different boat as you live year round so for summer use would be OK.

i got a suzuki eigar 2003 for 1500 had to drive up to ottowa to get it but it needed alot of work done to it. literally worked on it for a year straight and got it working to our liking finally. has no rear brakes or parking brake hooked up only front brakes but it works fine other than that! when you find one and go look at it tell the guy to take of all the plastic for you so you can see the engine spark plug oil dip stick etc.

If you want a good used atv, Buy one completely stock and owned by someone in their 60s at least.
I could show you 1 year old quads with 1000km on them that I wouldnt own if best deal on earth. These bikes are routinely beat on, full blown mud machines where they do 8hour rides to see who can go the farthest or the deepest.
Now....buy a stock atv with original tires and 3000km, Some old timer putted around his farm for 10 years.
Start getting into tuners, big tires, snorkels your looking into long term problems and $$$$.
Couldn't be a worse time in the history of man to buy anything toy related right now LOL I check kijiji 10x a day, Have for last 5 years at least. Its what ya gotta do to find the deal. I buy old Honda stuff.
I have 5 quads, 3 trikes and 2 dirt bikes myself right now lol

Why do people like Facebook whatever happened to just using Kijiji
I use Facebook Marketplace pretty much exclusively now for buy and sell. If I'm selling, I find there are less tire kickers, and none of the absurd offers to trade something (i.e. an offer for half your asking price plus a 1970's lawnmower that worked when last used 20 years ago). When I'm buying, the sellers are actually interested in making a deal. It just seems more personal than the general anonymity of Kijiji.

Your right on about that SongDog as long as the old timer didn't have kids or grandkids that drove the snot out of it. I was at my brothers cabin last fall for a bird hunt. The one fella brought his sons 2019 can am 800. What a hunk of junk. Rattled constantly, stalled when you stopped, overheating warning light kept coming on and terrible gas mileage. He mentioned his son was pretty hard on it. I was actually thinking of getting a can am outlander 650 hunting edition if I was to deal but now not so sure I want one anymore.

Avoid them, we had 2 2016's new out of the box, one leaked engine oil from the pump, the other had electrical gremlims associated to the transmission, both spent more time at the engine shop than on the trail. They don't call them "canned ham" for nothing.

I want to buy a 1000r outlander but I'm waiting to see how they are for a few years.
I've owned a 2013 800 which has no problems. My brother has 2012 650 and he's pretty hard on it and has bit of work done to it but can't complain.
My dad has a 2006 400 max xt outlander and he's owned since new. About 6000km on it and dont think its ever been to the dealer for problems.
Problems with every quad. My cousin owns a 2020 850, ill see how it is before I buy one
