    I think even the staunch of sheeple are starting to see the numbers don't add up to the response being taken (threatened) . The elderly and most essential workers are now pretty much protected and that was the goal. Prevent Hospital overcrowding..flatten the curve. Mission accomplished, let's move on.

    If you are following the rules you are a sheep, according to you. Are you not following them? Does merely complaining about the rules, on a outdoors forum, get you out of the flock?

    I normally don't quote people, but this I think is worth repeating.

He himself carries DNR every where he goes as if the situation were to arise he would rather pass than be resuscitated and put in a LTC facility depending on someone to take care of his personal needs and l most certainly understand his point of view as I wouldn't want to be in that situation either having someone feed me or clean my back side what kind of life is that. Not one I would want.
    I know someone that spent April-August working in LTCs. The majority, the vast majority are there for reasons and on borrowed time. As he put it, "we are often the only ones spend time with them, and many it's a blassing". I know my father, long before cancer took him, let us and his friends know, he'd rather go out like the deer he hunted than waste away on a hospital bed. So with respect to 500,000 American dead. The perspective in terms of the sheer number is comparable to the 4 years it took of war. Just picture the cemeteries' like Arlington, and across the pond.

Politicians are harming your health on the advice of politically appointed chief medical officers, who are prescribing a useless and toxic “cure” for a virus that poses no significant threat to children, youth, and about 90 percent of the population."

Politicians have not put forward any credible evidence to support their belief that lockdowns have saved lives. In contrast, there is plenty of evidence of devastating lockdown harms, spelled out in detail in other columns on this website."

    Think about how the elderly live, whether in LTCs or not. 2020 is or was cagging them like rats to die.......We treat our freaking pets better..
    The failure to protect the vulnerable is squarely on health officials, politicians, many in healthcare, and many in the electorate.

    And despite all the pain, Gilroys have not working class immigrant working class family, and many many more who prior to 2020 didn't have it so good, and despite the now years it will take to "recover". And for them having fallen so far far behind while many others coasted to shore...It's just mind boggling the way haves have thrown have nots overboard....Said little, done little about it. Not unlike the vulnerable.

    We could go on at great length about other cost, like substance abuse, mental health, anxiety and depression ( Gee you think, when people are seeing incomes go to 0 or a fraction of what they made in 2019), kids not socializing, and on and on and on.

    all for naught.
    Reams of vulnerable have died, like young boys storming beaches. When there are alternatives or were

    O'Toole and friends are either posturing or completely ignorant of how Canada is governed. With the exception of the international borders the lockdown decisions are not made by the federal government but by the provinces.

    When lockdowns infringe on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms it becomes a federal issue.
    The federal government needs to issue an order to the provinces to cease and desist.

    freedom of conscience and religion;
    freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
