Good, being able to work with the Chinese in a disaster is a good thing. It is a benefit for both when they will come in contact with each other in disasters.
"Both militaries have responded to natural disasters in real life, occasionally coordinating. Chinese peacekeepers and American troops cooperated in the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. The U.S. and Chinese military also both responded to the 2015 Nepal earthquake."

That training is useful to the west, unlike our useless PM and crew that taught cold weather combat which is not beneficial for the US and Canada (unless you are helping China). In the news China has new threats against Taiwan, Japan expressing concerns about security, they have been launching more spy satellites and there is the usual about the abuse of the Uyghurs and human rights in Hong Kong and calling to further modernize their weapons systems in their new 5 year plan, I even heard they have a 4th carrier started and the normal etc.

“[China will] accelerate the development of strategic frontier and disruptive technologies and accelerate the upgrading of weapons and equipment and the development of intelligent weapons and equipment”. The draft then went on to outline some of the methods that China will employ to achieve its military-technology and innovation priorities. Many of these methods are closely linked to China’s continuing policy to fuse military-civilian sectors and technologies, with the aim to secure benefits for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
“[China will deepen military-civilian science and technology collaboration and innovation and strengthen the co-ordinated military-civilian development in maritime, space, cyberspace, biology, new energy, artificial intelligence (AI), quantum technology etc to promote … the transformation and development of key industries.”

We see them launching more spy satellites for example

So Trudeau wants Canada to help China improve the PLA .... is that making Canada a threat to democracies and the other 4 eyes etc?

The US interactions and training are practical for the real world with interactions and disasters and the other training, well it is for helping create the disasters... as expected from our PM a negative influence on Canada and the world! Our Little Potato is actually poisonous.

    Interesting development!

"Canada is levelling sanctions against Chinese officials over human-rights violations against minority Muslims in that country."

"The move is being taken in concert with the United Kingdom, the U.S. and the European Union."

"Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau says in taking the dramatic step, Canada is joining its partners in calling on China to put an end to a systematic campaign of repression."

"The House of Commons voted last month to declare those atrocities a genocide, though the prime minister and all but one of his cabinet did not take part in the vote."
