    Default Chukar hunt

Went on a Chukar hunt today at Gold Creek Farms near Strathroy and had a great hunt. The guide had a 5 year old golden retriever and watching him work was worth every penny.
Those little suckers can really move once air born. Looking forward to going back for pheasants next winter and staying at the cabin they have on the property.....if Covid allows.

I’ve hunted there a number of times. It’s a great place. How was the cover? Did it hold up over the winter??

I have done a lot of hunting and dog training there. Goldcreek is one of the best places around.

There wasn't much cover left. The corn stocks were pretty much on the ground but good enough for Chukar.

Ed comes around in his Gator and gets the birds from the guide while we are hunting, by the time we get back from the field the birds are cleaned and bagged so a group shot with the birds is not an option.
Im sure he would have no collected them if we asked....maybe next time
