You'd think they do it on purpose
On my way to work this morning and don't I spot a dark shape off the 407 before Goreway. As I get closer the dark shape morphs into a tom turkey strutting in all his glory surrounded by 3 hens.
Shook my head as I passed them by thinking come the time I'll be hunting them will be driving at least an hour away from home.

lol sounds about right, last year after leaving the property multiple times we drove down by a Mennonites property to see turkey or turkey vultures sitting on his fence posts right beside his house. almost every day. idk if they were tamed or something but he would walk right by them and they wouldnt take off or anything, looked like some big big birds.

I have a 'pair' that live on the far side of the barn some where. They have a couple fiends come visit and they all sit up on the peak of the barn roof and spread their wings to dry or cool off. Beautiful to watch them in flight, they can soar for what seems like an hour just playing the air currents.
My wife insists on calling them Buzzards....she thinks that sounds better HaHa.

Ugly mothers, they made their way up North. Too bad the good Turkeys don’t follow.

I'm not sure if these were pissed off at me or doing a dance ritual but yes their wingspan was wide.
