Police Protection

I don't know if this is the same way in Canada - but down here the police are not required to protect you - when these riots occur we see the police stand by and not trying to protect lives or property - people have tried to sue police departments for not protecting them when they were in danger but the courts have ruled that police are not required to protect - I know a lot of people don't know that - generally police get involved after the crime has been committed so if you are involved in a riot you are alone and better be able to take care of yourself -

It's the same here,too,Joe. Anyone who thinks Police will be there to protect them is delusional. People need to realize that by the time Police show up after being called,most incidents are long over and the crook is gone. All Police can do is investigate,photograph your dead a**,call the hearse and take a report.

There was a case in Oshawa, not too long ago.
the police got to the house too early it seems, had to wait for tactical team, while ppl inside were being shot.
what I heard on the news ...
