Hope every one is safe and well.Shot a nice tom at 6:27 this morning and I am sitting in the living room looking outside at 7:40. Two jakes came to my 2 hen decoys at about 6:15 and milled about before the big guy showed up.There was no gobbling at all this morning probably because of the rain . I got him to sound off after I owl hooted him at 6:00.I am hunting a hydro right of way with hardwoods on both sides and had scouted these birds for a couple of weeks. If you guys want to take anything to the bank pre scouting does pay off.I watched this guy travel this route for the last week and join up with hens.I would have shown pictures but one thing I have realized that dead wet turkeys are real ugly. Good luck to all.

Good stuff. I've never been able to get one on opener. I still had some action this morning but the toms were a little too far off and wouldn't separate from the hens. I also came within 10 feet of a skunk on my way to my spot in total darkness. I stopped, he looked at me for a few seconds and turned and headed straight to where I was going. Good luck to everyone.

Yes not a flattering pic when they're wet! Congratulations.
