Kind narrow thinking isn't it..and wrong.

Sounds like you have immersed yourself in politics so it's important to you..by choice others do not find any interest in it and don't consider it important.

Too often those who don't "find any interest in it and don't consider it important" are often first in line spouting off about government or politics. To many of us who are politically active their opinions don't matter a pinch of coon crap because they aren't willing to make even the modest effort of getting off their lazy butts and casting a ballot.

And with statements like that, it's no wonder many voters see nothing in any present party worth voting for..

Excellent. Stay at home and STFU about politics and government. If you take yourself out of the process don't whine about how unfair it is.

In the meantime people like me will contribute to shaping policies, identifying candidates, working on elections and if the tide is running our way form a government that will implement the policies we've identified as priorities.

There used to be a ballot for the Rino Party: it allowed you to exercise your right to vote...while saying you did not have confidence in the leadership being offered.

What a great idea MikePal, have the various candidates laid out on the ballot and have a last option:
I DO NOT HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE LEADERSHIP BEING OFFERED "O". I'd have to wonder how many times that circle would receive an "X". What would it mean? What could happen if it established something of a majority result? I have to wonder if having such a question and the public knowing about it being on the ballot, if it would improve voter turn out.

And the opportunity exists for anyone to become an "elite" if they want to put in the effort. But it's much easier to sit on the sidelines and complain.
