I love Salmon - and I guess a lot of other people do also - so getting cheaper Salmon is a good thing - I think - https://www.foxnews.com/science/gene...fied-salmon-us - you have any problems eating this type of fish - I guess the people catching and selling wild caught Salmon don't like this -

No thanks, I'll still go and catch my own out of clean water. I have not bought any of that farmed stuff either from the west coast. After reading some of the stories, it's just a complete disaster how the water around those caged fish is polluted and fish infested with sea lice.

People have been eating genetically enhanced food for many many years. ie: genetically breed Meat chickens whose hearts give out because the grow to fast...etc etc. Why not fish ??

I don't eat Salmon from the grocery store... not that I care about GMO food...it's that they don't have any flavour or taste.

I used to live in Victoria BC and ate fresh Pacific Salmon...a taste you never forget. What they sell here, passed off as 'Salmon' is just some kind of bio-mass filler to support some fancy sauce you put on it.

I actually like canned Salmon. Reminds me of the sandwiches mother used to make. Extra mayo, chopped pieces of celery for crunch, mmmm. Loved those crunchy back bones in the can as well.
