That's hilarious..first time I've seen a common-sense financial discussion called 'gaslighting' by the Left wing.

But from folks whose leader thinks budgets balance themselves, maybe fiscal restraint to achieve a goal might be a little hard to grasp.

No surprise for me lol, just where it's coming from and that tells you all you need.

Just because people can't afford a house where they want to live, doesn't mean they can't afford a house and never will. If I were walking into the workforce today I'd be learning as many transferable skills as possible and heading north. Far north. Get a transient job in lumber or pipeline or mining you can live in a mobile home. There's always a way if you are determined.

It also helps to surround yourself with close friends in various types of work. So my hunting partner does renovations some things I pay him to help that I just am not good at and other things he just helps for beer. Like I paid him to rebuild my kitchen ceiling and put new flush LED lights. To help install my patio door last year I bought him a Trail camera and his hunting licenses. The door I installed this year I also bought his hunting licenses. Also he stores all his tools at my place because he lives in an apartment and has no room for them. He has a key to my shop as well.
My Best friend I grew up with helps on car repairs if the job is big and also repairs any electronics if they broke. Since he loves machining (I helped build his shop) he will also do welding for me.

Some friends on here also keep an eye out for things at times that I am looking for and sometimes have given my son or me some gear they didn't need. I have also given away some gear that I don't need.

Point one, the reference to gaslighting is to the thread as a whole. But feel free to take it out of context. I’d expect nothing less.

Point two, the instant label of who “my leader is” is a great example of the lack of tolerance of any difference of opinion within this forum.

Feel free to think whatever you want about who I am or what my political views maybe. Use whatever label you’d like. B1tching about the loss of freedoms, what’s wrong with this country, and lack of respect, the irony doesn’t escape some of us. Others may wish to go look up the definition of irony.

Actually it’s kinda spot on. Look through other threads. It doesn’t take long for some to create an opinion of someone and then stereotype them for their beliefs or comments. It’s actually very undesirable in a conversation. Kinda makes things weird……..

That it does, but when one puts out their opinion, one has to expect to be judged, labelled or worse. It’s just the nature of society as it spirals down the toilet to the septic system of our reality.

I disagree a good example is me. I don't agree with some on here about their stance on covid but I still agree with them on many others. I associated with many on here and we don't always agree.

I am still trying to figure out where these guys come from that sit at their desk, collect a huge salary at 70 with 6 weeks holidays, no expenses, collecting EI, OAS, a pension while working and then look at the Millenial (24-40 years old) and say "what is your problem, stop being lazy". If they just retired then 2-3 millenials with up to date knowledge would be able to be hired, but you cannot tell someone to retire anymore, that is illegal.

Up to date knowledge does not equate to up to date experience. And I'm sure you realize that to get experience, a person has to start at the bottom and work their way up. They have to be willing to fill the vacant positions that the topic of this thread was started on. Maybe that 70 yr. old making the big bucks, together with pension and with all the holidays, (6 weeks is nothing, should be around 12 weeks?) is waiting to train some people so he/she can retire and go fishing?
