I would buy a proper target designed for high speed arrows. It is worth the investment to save arrows and time sharpening broadheads. When I bought my crossbow over 15 years ago, I also bought a "The Block" target. I have been using it ever since, almost exclusively with broadheads. I have never had a pass through, but the arrows are starting to go in right up to the fetching, so it is about time to replace it. I would think you can find something similar in the $150 range.

Your right...you used to be able to get away with the DIY bags etc back when bows were 150-200lbs...But these newer bows 350+ required a proper Block stop the impact and retrieve broadhead. I've lost track of the cost now of an Arrow + Broadhead......must be over $30 by now...don't skimp on a Block.

I've been using a bulldog for 10 years or more. We all have been using it and hasn't worn out yet, and if it does it has lifetime warranty. Just cant use broadheads. Bolts go half way in and easy to pull out. Most of us shoot 380's. One buddy bought a warthog a couple years back. Bolts go in right to the fletching and you give yourself a hernia getting them out and have damaged a couple. He gave it away.

Well got the bow sighted in. But couldn't really take a picture with the bolts going almost through it the bag of clothes did stop it from going into the barn. Guess I am going to have to buy one of those bag targets. My son was very good he hit the bulls over and over again.

I will get a bag target next month once I get my first pay from the new job. He is have a bit of a time to it as his arms are not quite long enough and he's not quite strong enough to make it click in. Will have to work on that.

This is on sale now and is rated for 600 fps, so this should work.

That's what I have. I can see daylight threw the center now from so many arrows that I shoot the bag sideways now lol. I couldn't tell you how many arrows but I've had the bag a long time

Thanks SongDog I will pick one up this weekend. Wow thought I was going to get away with just buying the crossbow seems to be costing me more and more. Picked up another 6 Bolts costing 65.00 bucks now a new target and still might have to buy some broadheads not to sure about the ones I bought from Amazon

OK looking at the Cheap Broadheads I got from Amazon, I'm thinking I am going to have to maybe buy some better ones. Can you recommend something 100 grain that isn't going to break the bank. I need 6 of them 3 for my son and 3 for me.
