I would say that "Hunter Pressure' causes them to be nocturnal is a myth...once the Rut is on is they will move regardless. But having watched this bush for over 20 yrs, I don't know if it's our large coyote population or they stay in the bush during the hot days but I rarely see Bucks ( Does are different) in the daytime year-round on trail cams and I have in lots of different areas.

Do you have any water sources near by? They could very well be staying close to the water during the day as well

Water water everywhere....I have 5 Artisien wells on the property that boil up water year round as well as a creek running parallel to the back frontage.
Lots of swampy areas...I have to wear rubber wellies to access a few stands HaHa..

ah i know what thats like lol, i have a pit near one of my spots just inside the bush, at early morning its a little sketchy getting in there cause the water rises and lowers everyday there, the route that worked yesterday may not work today lol filled my boot with water more than once; .
