I could care less for the guy,or the PMs- remark.

I am wondering hovewer, where in this case is the right of a convicted for NOT being discriminated against after he got the judgement against him/get the penance ,and the thing is over?

As far i know ,it is against the law in Canada to discriminate against anyone convicted. To discriminate against in many many fields in daily life(employment being one of them)
Clearly-he IS discriminated against............(unless they tried him as ,and treat him like a sex offender-which would be really weird)

He could pursue a legal path to deal with this issue,if he wants to.

“Being drafted into the NHL is an honour and a privilege that no one takes lightly. The NHL Draft should be one of the most exciting landmark moments in a player’s career, and given the circumstances I don’t feel I have demonstrated strong enough maturity or character to earn that privilege in the 2021 Draft. If I were to ever have the honour of being selected I would want a fanbase to be proud to welcome me to their organization. I know it will take time for society to build back the trust I have lost, and that is why I think it is best that I renounce myself from the 2021 NHL Draft and ask that no one select me this upcoming weekend. I feel that this would allow me the opportunity to demonstrate an adequate level of maturity and character next season with the London Knights in the OHL and provide all the NHL teams the opportunity to reassess my character towards the 2022 NHL Draft.”

So yes, the habs choice was idiotic and disrespectful.
“So yes, the habs choice was idiotic and disrespectful.” - Perhaps!

Fox, that was a great statement the kid made, at least he understand the depth of the blunder he made. It makes him appears incredibly vulnerable. I suspect, however, it was not likely to earn him much of a pass from many of the NHL teams looking for his caliber of talent. If not the Canadiens, he was likely to be snapped up by some other team. I have to wonder what or Prime Minister might of sad if that should have happen . I suspect nothing, which is what he should have said when the Canadiens exercised their option. As I said before TJ is entitle to his personal opinion of what the Canadiens did, he did not have to share it on the world stage. That’s what I found to be very on becoming. When he open his mouth for the world to hear, he was not just an other Canadien’s fan, mumbling “the habs choice was idiotic and disrespectful,” he was our Prime Minister.

Do not act like he should have been picked though. He had photos of a girl in the nude and distributed them without permission.

Yes this is hypocritical of the PM but what the PM said about the pick was accurate.

God help us. We'll all be out of jobs if people start looking at the stupid things we did when we were kids ...

People are so quick to judge ... hey, if you are casting a stone ... let's have all your dirty laundry displayed for the world to see.

I'd bet my left nut that ALL of us have some embarrassing thing they'd be mortified if the world was able to see it and judge us on!
Stop acting like your perfect, because we know behind your computer screen ... you're no different.

Accurate or not, as far as I’m concern as our Prime Minister, in that office he speaks for all Canadians, as such he had no business to say what he did.. He placed the actions of this young man and that of the Montreal Canadiens Organization on trial. As such they have been condemned by the highest officer in this land. What he did was a shameful affront to exercising any measure of sound judgment and the rule of law..

I take it your referring to the likes of Trudeau, the groper? Apologizing all over the place.

[QUOTE=Gun Nut;1167204]…the victim hear is not the woman who placed herself in such a position of compromise. The victim is a young man who for want of maturity did something incredibly short sighted, …

He is the victim? Sweet Jesus, that has to be the most bizarre thing I’ve seen written here. He’s the victim? That ends the discussion right there.

Well you'd be an expert on who's a victim but i think he's holding out to be a MapleLeaf and if that doesn't work out for him, meh there's always pornhub.

    Willie, Willie, Willie, keep trying.
Actually becoming a Maple Leaf would be a life long punishment for him. He’d never see a Stanley Cup that’s for sure.
