Never heard of a place that does that

Go to a big store, try all they have and you want or like.
Shotguning is a game of proper gun fit.
Whichever gun you like and it fits you well, buy it.
Kick will be a result of heavy load or light gun, kind of easy to guess on that..........chokes and ammo selection helps with patterning

Don't know of any place that rents shotguns but you might try attending a local skeet/trap club. Most guys are willing to let you try their guns. Cheers B525

I’m not aware of anyone renting firearms; would be a liability issue for sure. Best bet would be to borrow one from a friend.

I presume that you are concerned about a proper fit. I seem to recall that some manufacturers produce “junior- size” firearms for youths and small-framed people.

Alternatively, you can purchase a regular-size shotgun and bring it to a competent gunsmith who can cut the stock for proper fit.

As for recoil, it’s my understanding that heavier weighing firearms absorb it better. The consequence is that a heavier gun can be more difficult to hold and shoot, and to carry around.

Most guys including me are willing to let another club member or someone they might be squadded with to shoot their guns. A complete stranger that no one knows wandering into a gun club asking trap and skeet shooters to shoot their guns might not get the same response.

Gun rental is more common in the US and UK. I don't know of any club in Ontario that rents shotguns.
