Unfortunately I don't think you are going to find any shops renting firearms. There are some things you can do before you start.
A few things that might help you find a gun for her is to confirm her height, weight and her length of pull. Length of pull is probably the most important of these. A relatively accurate method of doing this is to measure the distance from her bent trigger finger to the inside of her elbow joint while holding her arm out to he side and bent at 90 degrees.
Watch a few you tube videos showing the proper method of mounting a shotgun and proper stance. If she doesn't do these properly she will feel recoil much more than if done properly. Just type " mounting a shotgun correctly" on you tube will bring up a number of them.
If you shoot at a club now try to see if one of the better shooters would be willing to help her for a round or two. A lot of ladies will listen to someone new to them far better than their spouses.
Hope this helps. I am in no way trying to belittle your ability as a shooter or a teacher.

Although I don't know of any locations that do this, I'd highly recommend you purchase a semi-automatic for you wife.

Something along the lines of a Winchester SX3 (not SX4), Browning Silver, Benelli M2, etc.

If that's a little out of your price range, do some research on the Tristar Vipers and Mossberg SA-20s. Fantastic Turkish imports.

I should have said shooting range maybe lol

Target Sports Canada, on Stoufville in Richmond hill.

small selection, but between other members and their rental, I was able to shoot alot of different guns to realize the kickback on some of the cheaper models is too much for my shoulders to go at it all day.

I am not sure how you can do that. Before COVID you could drop my any clays field and guys would be more than willing to let you try their gun out but now to to COVID most clubs are private only.

Where are these clubs where guys will hand over their shotguns to anyone who wanders onto the property and asks? Walking up to a clay target shooter who has no idea who you are and asking to shoot his 5-figure over/under probably won't end well.

I have an sa-08. The gas guns will soak up a bit of kick, but these newer models are light as hell. It kind of balances out.

I got my GF a youth model savage 320. She was 110-120lbs and had no issues with recoil.
