Rather than a new thread there were lots on the 6.5x55 so I thought I would post it here.

Looks good to me. :-) Not that high yet but I am betting it will go for more than I would pay so I will post it here for comments instead of quietly watching for my chance.

I never really took to the rifle. I sold it and my latest project is a Remington 700 CDL SF in .300 Savage. Hoping to test that out this weekend.

There is a Model 99 lever action in 300 savage at the same auction...

I'll pass but hope you enjoy it, that calibre is hard to find and more expensive ammo... hope you got the reloading figured out for it.

    There is a Model 99 in 308
    https://www.liveauctionworld.com/Sav...4919_i42739930
    and 250-3000

With no bids on either so far if anyone else is interested though.

I've owned a few 99's in .300, always the EG model. All but one would shoot MOA on a good day.
I have dies, lots of components, ready to go.
I've found bot the .300 Savage and the .250 Savage very easy to load for. Get some N140 or Reloder 15 powder and you're good to go.
