Oh ,Impact,i am not thinking about that aspect.
My reply was to an idea of him doing the about face , as a smart move , so to avoid potential Lawsuits against him.For not making Vaxxport mandatory.

ps=by no means i talk on the side of Liberals ,i actually had high hopes with Ford..........but all is gone now with Him and Covid.

    I hear you Mike,yet again-He suppose to be a Premier of Ontario,not a Politician.
Maybe i am just too naïve.

Hovewer-let me tell You ,in these challenging times, many people would rally behind a good leader.
A good leader has to do the right thing, not just to strive to appease everyone, who has a say.

That is what makes a leader to actually become a follower.

Even when you're a leader you always have a boss..in this case, the Village idiot has the purse strings. If Doug wants to serve the people of Ontario, he has to yield to the pressure to ensure the province gets funding from the feds.

That's why he said he was doing it under duress, put his ego in check for the better good...a sign of a good leader.

Honestly not sure how this work in Ontario Financing.
Something is telling me,that it may not be quite that simple. We rely on dole from Ottawa?
    Can not be true.
The last time i checked-we are a Federation.
I somehow think, that there are Government agreements ,contract and perhaps Constitutional documents, where Ontario has a fair and pre-agreed on share in Federal financing.
We contribute,a lot-we must have rights for some of that money,no?
Therefore ,hiding behind Ottawa's financing good will, is really just that-i give up my rights, for a perceived benefit of their goodwill.Easy, slick, zero risk......zero benefit too.Just excuse and "free"money.

I can be wrong, but if a look at the other side of the big pond, and look at the mighty EU-and that some small, developing members dare to say no to Brussels, and stand up for themselves......makes me wonder.

good example: Infrastructure funding. Almost every 'big' project that is built in the province gets funding from the Feds. From schools, subway expansions, bridges, Highways, etc... That money is discretionary and 'granted' to the province at the pleasure of the Ministry of Infrastructure...

Doug knows, as do all Premiers that the tap is tightly controlled, scratch their back, they scratch yours...Politics 101.

Ford is not for the people, never has been - and yes I am surprised by the amount tyranny he has swung to enact. He is even removing and silencing his own members and caucus.

How much worse would it have been under the Libs, GR and NDP... silver lining - NO

I hope you own a business, because I am lawyered up to start walking into these businesses to without the passport - ready to launch human rights compliants for each one that refuses me entry based on medical discrimination.

Furthermore if you think this OK - would you have refused a HIV positive person, someone with a skin condition, would you stand at door and ask if HIV positive, cancer, HEP A, B, C.. It is going to be fun.

Oh my, you are (gasp) lawyered up? LMFAO.

I do run a business although not a retail one. We explain to prospective clients that our team is vaccinated and we will require the same of any direct client contacts. This has actually helped business as I've taken two contracts now because competitive bidders wouldn't disclose.

So they were guilty of discrimination and doing so with no basis (lack of information)...a good lawyer will have a field day with the likes of them. I hope the other competitors file lawsuits.

I have excellent legal counsel. Not worried a bit. Should clients refuse our requirement that direct contacts be immunized we would just move on to other business. So far none have and as mentioned our policy has helped us win business.
