Vaccination requirement for CFSC courses?
A post on Gunnutz claims the New Brunswick CFO is requiring full vaccinations for all participants in Canadian Firearms Safety Courses. Any word of similar requirements in Ontario for CFSC courses? A small instructional setting could in theory be covered under "meeting and event spaces" mentioned in the Ontario regulation. If not the CFO or individual instructors could put a proof of immunization requirement in place for anyone taking the course. Any idea if this is happening here for CFSC or hunter safety courses?

The course could be one on one and outside, so there is no justification for vaccination unless it is just a way to divide the people, like the passports in general.

I’m not so certain the CFO has that authority in Ontario.

I'd show up with a 'Negative' PCR test (better than passport) and force his hand..just see how much authority he has...

The instructor has authority to decide who is allowed into his course site and whether or not he gives the course to an applicant. If a CFO condition is that all participants provide proof of full immunization or the course site falls within the definition set by the Ontario regulation where vaccine proof is required you and your PCR test results will be sent packing.

I agree if they are using his private 'classroom'...but if they are using a public facility and are quoting Government regs, then he has to abide by the rules applied to a 'teaching facility'. In which case a 'Negative PCR test' and PPE 'should' meet the requirements.
Ergo I would challenge his authority to insist on proof of vaccination as it isn't required for students at public teaching facilities. Remembering most of these courses have young kids that don't even have the vaccine yet.

MEH.... S-201 takes care of all the nonsense.
See you in court, as they say.
