Abuse begets abuse. Children are not sexual, and should be fiercely protected in this regard. A little too much attention from the baby sitter, exposure to pornography, bullying, absent father/over involvement with the mother, extreme introversion/shyness/self-consciousness around the opposite sex etc. all have profound psychological effects on a child. But we are all held at gun point and forced to accept that sodomy is the greatest of all possible virtues, and there's nothing anyone can do about same-sex attraction.
Sexual orientation is not a choice for most of us. The side we like is innate similar to being right or left handed.

If it really is a choice then I feel cheated. I never got to choose. There's nothing anyone can do about my opposite-sex attraction. No amount of "conversion therapy" is going to change my desire for adult females.

The people who believe being gay is a "choice" or that sexual orientation can be changed must therefore be people who find men and women equally sexually attractive and can play on both sides of the fence with equal satisfaction. Similarly there are people who are truly ambidextrous. Not common but it does happen.

Back in A.D. 553, the Second Council of Constantinople forbad belief in the doctrine of rebirth, it appeared to run contrary to the church’s ideas on resurrection, and upon St Paul’s pronouncement that God had appointed but one opportunity for a man to live. Perhaps these saintly souls were wrong. What if in fact we are all products of rebirth, and the essence of our soul as it passes to its next go round, harbours some element of its sexual preference from its previous lifetime. Then consider the idea that in rebirth you might come back as the opposite sex. I’ve heard it said over and over again, people claiming they are a certain sex in the wrong body. What if this were the reason for it. Just something for all you open minded individual to wrap your mind around.

So with this same train of thought I must have been a giraffe in a previous life, cause I always wanted to ride one down the 401.

Who knows john you may have experienced a regression in your soul's rebirths before you eventually got turned about and started progressing. LOL

According to whom? That's a pretty bold claim, and negates our free will. It just became accepted sometime in the 90's that it was innate and un-changeable. And just like accusations of racism, colonialism, etc. people use guilt to fuel this agenda and the lgbt movement in general. White liberals are especially culpable in this regard, as they are masters of guilt and self-flagellation.

Talk to the average city dweller today and they'll say something like: "but look how horribly they were treated throughout history...we need more compassion!" "love is love" etc.

Unfortunately this is not true, and by that logic, what's to stop laws against incest, pedophilia or bestiality? If I'm just born that way, who are you to tell me it's wrong? I have no agency and am just a helpless victim. It can't possibly be me that's disordered, but rather the entire world...
We already see the movement trending towards normalizing and de-stigmatizing these disorders. Articles from big name outlets abound on these subjects. California recently passed a law decriminalizing the non-disclosure of HIV positivity. We have drag queen story hour, where gay men and trans people read to young children while dressed provocatively. It's sickening to see the brainwashed parents clap like seals while the children are visibly distraught (and correctly so...for they perceive something unnatural and uncomfortable). They dress their young children up as the opposite sex and have them dance like a stripper to score points with other progressives. Then of course there is the issue of men breaking women's skulls in MMA fights, cleaning up in weightlifting, and completely dominating women in women's sports. A young woman who trained her whole life just to be beaten by a man....nice utopia, liberals!

And then of course we have the issue of forcing the Christian baker to bake a wedding cake for your gay wedding (they would never try that with a Muslim business and the media would never touch that story). We have the ongoing issue of men using women's washrooms, demanding female-only spa's wax their male genitalia, and using the full force of the government as a hammer against them if they refuse, courtesy of bill C-16. Under the bill your subjective feelings are all that matter in terms of defining your identity. Heck, it can even change from one day to the next. This is a complete and total breakdown of our society. Garnished with some casual statue toppling and constant race baiting to purposely inflame tensions, to create even more disorder...

So you see this was never just about 'equal rights' as many originally claimed. It went from 'please just leave us alone' to 'do whatever I tell you, bigot!' Pride celebrations were initially a day, then a week, then a month, and now they announced it will be extended all year lol.

Not to get too far off point here, but this is a problem with the left generally: they can't box things in or make clear definitions. Because the main function of the left wing is to break things down and create new things...so they want things to be loose and open. Unfortunately chaos ensues when you blow apart standard categories, and no one wants to be the 'party pooper' to stop the music and tell everyone it's time to clean up. So they just keep doubling down and causing more destruction.

The views I have expressed above are shared by a surprising majority of people, most of which are too afraid to express themselves because of the left's bullying.

The best part about being a "conspiracy theorist" is not having myocarditis.

Don't know ... my wife's cousin, full blown gay guy growing up. His sisters dressed him in dresses, and had him play with dolls. Their mom blames it on that. He decided to "change" his life. Got married to a girl, had a kid ... they seem very happy. Who knows, maybe he has temptations for the same sex still, but I think that's like the same temptation as passing a strip club and saying no.

Possibly. I have an ex that swears to this day that I'm Lucifer re-encarnated on Earth.
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....
