    Default A good mattress

I'm in need of a new Queen size mattress and I find it a bit overwhelming with the selection today. I think I've narrowed it down but I'm hoping some of you may have some good feedback.
I'm trying to buy local as opposed to the big stores. Many of the smaller stores handle brands that I've never heard of but are claiming to be Canadian made of good quality and warranty. One is a Dreamtime Twilight Essence Plush, another is a Platinum Mini Pocket Coil Euro Top also by Dreamtime. One at a big store that feels good is the Simba 2500. All of these can be bought for between $1000.00 and $1400.00 taxes in while on sale.
If anyone has any experience with any of these your feedback would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I know you not asking about others...but we switched to an Ikea mattress with one of their memory foam toppers...by far the most comfortable mattress we have ever had and it was 50% cheaper..

Yeah but it came from Ikea (Swedish for stupidity). Everything about that place rubs me the wrong way. Only ever been to one once about 20 years ago and i swore i would never go back. By the time i got out of there i thought i was gonna puke from the citiot stench. Rather send my money to North Korea. . Only 3 things i vehemently detest in this world and Ikea is one of them. Other 2 are religious narcissists and Sportspal canoes - call me crazy it's okay.

Wife and i been sleeping on the same mattress for 30 years now. I'll follow along as well as probably need a new one in the not too distant future.

Buy whatever You like-but do not overlook deals, where there is a 30 day no question asked replacement in the purchase.
We bought our mattress after the old one went out of use (20 yers +) .Bought the best and coziest and nicest-and returned it within 2 weeks, free exchange for another one.
The first one was way too fluffy ,and way too"warm"to my liking.
Unless your buy the EXACT same You have today-chances are,You may not see all the ins and outs until using it for few nights.
Then ,if You figure -this is not what You want, the free exchange can help....

Thanks for the info guys. Still hoping for more opinions. The returns idea is interesting because it seems that the small stores don't seem to want to offer that on all mattresses.

Don't be afraid to try the beds in a box, I got a Casper and am very satisfied with it, the other brands are probably comparable.

I agree 100%..same...went to the new Ikea here in Ottawa after it opened,ONCE, swore I'd would never go back...

My daughter , stugglng student at the time, bought her stuff there and I was impressed with the bed. So I shopped online, picked out the bed I wanted..wheeled into the Ikea warehouse area, ran in grabbed it off the shelf and was back in my car in 10 minutes...

    Come in a bag..fit in a small car !!

Last time I bought a traditional mattress is was at that 'Mattress Warehouse' in Smiths Falls. Waked in grabbed the one I wanted, TOLD the guy I'd give him $300 cash and he helped me load it into P/U.

If you're sleeping happily on a 20 yr old mattress you're obviously aren't picky...no need to spend $1400 on a new one !!
