Depending which way the investigation goes but im thinking even if they find the people responsible the mnr wont be able to do anything.

The big part in cases like this is to find the person responsible person. Witnesses and evidence (e.g.fired bullet) is required. Wasting flesh suitable for food is intolerable no matter who is responsible. In my experience, indigenous communities support charges against members who commit these acts. Having said that, many communities are moving towards their own justice systems (justice circle) for some offences.

The game warden did a thorough investigation.
Hopefully someone seen something, it’s a well travelled Hwy.

I would not jump to quickly to conclusion ...
Let say that a regular hunter made a bad Gut shot ,
the Moose run away and died of agonizing death because of bad shooter .
And the carcass get discovered by predators which they first eat the stomach content ,
and the meat inside of the stomach cavity the filet minion ,
and the tang which is is sticking out when the game died
and the fatty soft nose , predator need for surviving the winter.
Then the picture is different , the opinion would be different .
Do any of you seen a game killed by YOU and eaten by predators ,
one of my fellow hunters Deer did not get recovered ,
I found it next day not much left off it , and the Deer wasn't poached .

Next time you fellow hunters will not recover the game you shot ,
remember this picture , maybe you will be called Poacher to ...!

It’s a fresh flat wide open cut over.
Whoever shot it seen it walk away and drop 200 feet from the edge of the Hwy. They then went and cut a few piece of choice meat.
Game Warden figured the same thing.

Yes this is not a new thing, for some, if they drop too far from the road they don’t bother hauling it out.
