Stand Alone or A-frame Waterfowl Blinds
Just wondering what folks are using, pros & cons? I've been looking at the Avian A-frame & G-frame, Drake Ghillie 4 man blind, Cabelas Northern Flight 3 man, and the Altan field blinds. Somewhat narrowed it down to the Avian blinds and maybe the Cabelas. Open to hearing about any other brands as well. Will mostly be used for marsh hunting, so no hedge rows or standing vegetation to really blend into. Two hunters, maybe three the odd time and a dog. Layouts are a no go at this time.
thanks for your time,
RSR

Will you be hunting private property with a permanent set-up or open water marshes?
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

There will be both, however nothing will be left out or left behind. Strictly want one of these blinds so we can be mobile, in & out with no permanent structure.

In that case, ease of assembly and tear down will be important. Cabela's units with the 4 or 5 star ratings should fit the bill quite nicely.

We have the avian and altan. I don't see much a difference in each one. We run them both together and they look the same. One has square tube frame the other is round. Grass mats have held up well, We've used them a lot the last 2 years too.
I havnt tried any other brands.
