I'm thinking that any amendment to the Fw Cons. Act. that prohibits hunting of these pigs is a pretty moot point for property owners. You'll still be able to spank every one that comes on your land, as per the section that allows protection of property. Piggy's mere presence on your property would give you legal right to unleash the Mg42.

I might not shoot one just for being on my property but if damage were or about to be occurring it would be a different matter.

the ministry better not wait to see better to set up one of those pen and trap them now as soon as possible or else those 14 will soon 100 and if they split off into groups would be even worse . pigs should be kept track of and if any go missing from the business it should be the financial responsibility of the farmer or business that lost them until capture. if they are friendly enough to be on side of road for people net them shoot them give the meat to food shelters good eats

Why wild pigs should NOT be hunted in Ontario
Prohibiting the hunting of wild pigs may seem counterintuitive, but it's an important step in the effort to tackle this threat.

Come on guys, you can do better than that.
Who is going to do all the trapping?
You want us to honestly believe you can capture all the pigs in one shot? That the other ones are going to stand around for a second attempt and not disperse? You point to the US to try and convince us. Well, that method has not been that successful either judging by the pig population.
"Studies from the US have shown that hunters need to kill at least 70% of a wild pig population each year just to keep it from growing, a number that is rarely if ever achieved. To effectively eradicate wild pigs, the whole sounder needs to be removed at once and trapping is the most effective method. Hunting typically kills some but not all of the sounder, scattering and educating the survivors, which makes trapping even harder."

The hogs in question have been positively identified as Eurasian Wild Boar that have escaped from a local farm that imported them. Operations like that should be shut down forthwith. I wonder who the moron was that thought that would be a good idea?
If a tree falls on your ex in the woods and nobody hears it,you should probably still get rid of your chainsaw. Just sayin'....

This is one of the ways to catch a whole sounder all at once;

if she managed to snap a pic and drive up to them and they stayed in a group, they are escaped domestics hoping to be fed and brought home.

Probably someone who was planning to stage some hunts. Similar nonsense occurred a few years ago on Hay Island when the well-heeled dopes who owned the place at the time stocked the island with wild boar. Since then the staff at neighbouring Griffith Island have had to make sure none cross the ice and take up residence there.
